937 -> 🌍 -> 313. Former wanderer who finally found her way back to the Midwest. Black geriatric millennial, possibly having a midlife crisis. Book, makeup/fragrance, and plant lover. I put the B in the 🌈. Take from all this what you will 🤷🏾‍♀️
I regret to inform everyone that I am progressive lenses years old today. Life comes at you fast young people, appreciate the ability to read texts w/o your glasses on your forehead, because it will be gone before you know it.

To my fellow geriatric millennials, keep your head up and use FSA.

Muting that man with the atrocious hairline name for 30 days. Hopefully, no one with that name contributes anything to society worth knowing in the next 30 days.

Nice! I look forward to your videos. Naxos is on my list to sample this year.

#SOTD is an oldie but goodie, but layered with some spice. My Burberry Black is a simple, soapy rose fruitchouli scent for the office. Power adds some spice and warmth so it feels less springy.

What’s wild to me is that several generations, my millennials included, were viewers of channels like History, Discovery, and Smithsonian, at their height. WWII shows/docs daily, if not hourly. Yet, many among us can’t see or refuse to see the parallels between that rise of fascism and the current.

Certain demographics have convenient bouts of amnesia around the violence leveraged against the oppressed, and the violence inflicted (in 4K) when those same oppressed folks protest or just have the audacity to self-advocate. It’s always the first time or the worst ever when it happens to them tho.
I'm old enough to remember when civilians ramming cars into BLM protesters was a legally defensible position but we don't have to go back that far.

If viewing state murder finally makes you realize the danger? Better late than never but I won't trust that MY safety suddenly matters to you.
Can drivers blocked by protesters sue? This law firm thinks so.

Imagine needing a video - in the year of our Lord 2026 - to become angry at the state of this country.
Cmon guys, you have to watch. You have to become angry. You have to not turn your blind eye on democracy being murdered 🤢
For people who don't want to watch the video, this is a good breakdown.

Description since there's no alt text: The first frame shows the agent drawing his weapon while standing at the front corner of the car. The second frame is after the shot is fired and shows the agent's feet clear of the car.

I’m the only child of a single mother, who also was the only child of a single mother (my grandmother). Raised in a home w/them and my single great aunt. There is no one on earth with more of a “I’ll do it myself” spirit than me.

📝 adds to sample list, thank you! I think I was introduced to powdery notes by all the wrong scents…including some Chanel’s!
January 6, 2026 at 1:55 PM
Now I need to explore powdery perfumes, because ain't no way I'm paying $350 each for those. Any suggestions on powdery fragrances as nice (or close) as Misia or Comète that I should sample? Feel like I am behind on this genre bc my hate for iris and violet was so strong lol. #perfumesky

Visited Chanel for the 1st time ever last week, to smell Coromandel. I kept hearing it was the holy grail for patchouli lovers (me). While really nice, Le Lion was a gorgeous patchouli-amber. Also, got samples of Misia and Comète...I am no longer a powdery scent hater. Them prices tho! #perfumesky

Day 5 and I’m already fighting for my life. Trying not to stress buy but the way 2026 is going so far…
For 2026, I’m doing a perfume no-buy (bottles and samples) unless I finish at least 3 bottles AND all current samples. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers next year 🙃 #perfumesky

My reproductive organs doing the Harlem Shake and there’s not an ounce of chocolate in this house.

LOL. My Gen X friend was visiting when this began. She was genuinely confused by it, thought it was about drugs. I gave her a very similar look…and said “for Oil baby”.

Some folks were a little too eager to circle back this morning, and I don’t like that.

THREAD: Viral misinformation on US capture of Nicolas Maduro - 4 January

This video, shared by Alex Jones and others, falsely claims to show millions of Venezuelans in Caracas celebrating Maduro's capture.

In fact, it shows anti-Maduro protests in July 2024 over a highly disputed election.

Felt like I hadn’t seen a post from @showtoolsai on IG in a while, so I went to his page. He helps folks spot and debunk AI. I already knew this stuff was out there but it’s scary to think the algorithm is elevating it.

I was wishing for a snow day to extend this 2 week break just one more day. Was just told to work from home all week bc of a water leak in just my office suite.

A stall at the farmer’s market sells “soup in a box”. All the fresh veggies, seasonings, and beans needed to make different soups…and cheaper than the ingredients separately.

First voice note of the year from my BFF…stating she is going to Costco to buy a large tub of popcorn bc she’s depressed OSU lost like that. When I saw that score last night, I told someone near me that my BFF probably in her feelings and I won’t hear from her until tomorrow 🥴
