Father, widower, believer in facts and science, voracious reader, feeder of cats, struggling cook, and native Minnesotan. He/Him/His.
I bought a set of wok tools and a wooden spatula. I’ve found the metal spatula very useful as the holes allow drainage and it works well for scooping things. The wooden spatula has proven more useful than a standard wooden spoon.

My desire when I was young was for an interactive computer, like HAL from 2001 or MCU Iron Man’s Jarvis/Friday. This is possible now with the various LLMs but I now have no interest whatsoever is such a false “companion”.

Ate the lunch buffet at Mediterranean Cruise Cafe in Burnsville. The food was excellent, IMHO very good value for money. Would go again.

Aldi had a big tub of Buona Italian Beef in the freezer section. I'm thinking Italian Beef sandwiches for the Olympic opening ceremony next Friday. Yeah, more Chicago than authentic Italian, but it will be tasty. Need the right bread and some giardiniera.

Revenue down from 50% to 100% at immigrant businesses along Lake Street and in St. Paul’s east side. Businesses say the impact is worse than COVID’s.

A lot of non-Minnesotans are asking how they can help people in the Twin Cities. Here's a very easy way that will cost you absolutely nothing.

Do not vent in the replies to videos or other posts from Minnesotans.

We're all on edge, and your rageposting and doomposting isn't what we need right now.
