Finally cool enough in SoCal SanGabrielValley to cook with the oven. Trying Samin Nosrat’s buttermilk chicken recipe.

This little butternut squash (harvested from the communal garden I volunteer in) had an expressive moment in the midst of food prep. It’s now cubed and ready to go in oven.

Since the law no longer matters, I think blue states should ask people to pay their IRS taxes to the state...which will then pay out the grants Trump is taking to fund his little mansion.

This GOP move does several things:
+ No votes in the House until at least October 14
+ No swearing-in for Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva D-AZ
+ No 218th signature from Grijalva on the Epstein Files discharge petition
+ Continues the House 'jam' of the Senate on the CR

🚨🚨The House reading clerk just read a letter from House Speaker Mike Johnson where he declares a 'District Work Period' from October 7 to October 13.

That would mean no votes in the House until mid-month.

The overall point still stands. We are children in our hearts, remembering sitting in front of the Tee Vee letting Go See Cal Go See Cal get burned into that place in our brains where deep memories go, but nowadays when we look in the mirror, oh my! we are not the children we thought we were!
