On the 5th anniversary of January 6th when violent protesters stormed the Capitol denouncing the validity of the 2020 election, Trump is laying the foundation for elections to be cancelled.
Trump: "They have the worst policy. How we have to even run against these people -- I won't say cancel the election, they should cancel the election, because the fake news with say, 'He wants the elections canceled. He's a dictator.' They always call me a dictator. Nobody is worse than Obama."

Bennie Thompson marked the Jan. 6 anniversary by playing a blistering montage exposing those who carried out the violent Capitol attack incited by Donald Trump. Five years later, the footage still hits hard and leaves nowhere to hide.

Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick defended Congress from a violent mob on January 6, 2021. After being attacked by rioters, Officer Sicknick passed away the following night.Β Β

My thoughts are with Officer Sicknick’s loved ones and all of the brave first responders who defended our Capitol.

Five years ago, we watched in horror as a mob, urged on by the President of the United States, stormed the Capitol to try to take by force what they could not win at the ballot box.

Today on #January6th, we remember the officers and those affected in this grave attack on our democracy and nation.

Today marks 5 years since Trump incited the deadly attack on our Capitol.

Ever since, Trump has tried to downplay January 6, pardoning the rioters who assaulted brave law enforcement officers.

We must continue to defend our democracy and never let this history be erased.

Let this serve as a reminder that Trump pardoned every single January 6 insurrectionist on his first day back in officeβ€”even those who attacked law enforcement and carried guns when they stormed the Capitol.

This plaque was made to honor law enforcement who heroically responded on January 6th.

It's nowhere to be found in the Capitol. Why?

Because Speaker Johnson & Republicans refuse to put it up.

They can try to rewrite history, but the American people know the truth.

Donald Trump is now reposting videos on Truth Social suggesting that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz had Melissa Hortman assassinated.

This is objectively evil, and calling it out should not be political.

These attacks on due process for immigrants are a test run for weakening due process protections for all of us

This administration wants to be able to convict people on accusations and press releases
