other than a small handful of people, why is it so hard to get good conversation... at best it's just one-line responses, at worst it's being ignored

I am disgusted by this company and will in the next month or so be doing the Hater’s Guide To Adobe. I will not forget what this company has done to its customers nor will I tolerate their loose financial language they use to deceive investors about the “success” of their flaccid AI play.
Now that the Adobe debacle has started to die down, please don’t forget about the animators. There are a lot of crafts, including animation, that have gotten the shit end of the stick during bargaining for decades. My craft is dying. We need more in house animation.
