edition.cnn.com/2025/11/25/s... A story that I’ve been working on for the past few months, about why women’s football is so important to queer people, is published! I really loved writing this and it’s a story that’s very close to my heart. I would love it if you kind folks would give it a read 🤍

was messaging with Rachael about this and took a swing at putting this statement by Sarah Gorden and Angelina into text form for the wider public

Impressive response from ACFC Captain, Sarah Gorden. Trans people belong everywhere and it's great to see players use their power to say that and represent their team and their community
for those not on x, here is Sarah Gordon and Angelina Anderson’s statement, they do speak for the team, and the team says trans folks belong

Our game doesn’t need gatekeepers. It needs champions and advocates and that means standing for every player who makes it what it is.

They want all the African players out of the league because they're racist. And when that's done, they'll go after the rest of the Black players. Because they're all fucking racist.

In addition to any moral or competitive arguments,

1. This is a fake problem. There aren't any trans women in NWSL. There aren't any trans women in the immediate pipeline that I'm aware of.

2. Using Banda for the cover photo here is obviously just extremely racist.
Deeply disappointed in Liz Eddy here, who I've always liked and respected. A reminder that we have a lot of work to do when it comes to educating the public about why trans inclusion isn't just morally correct, but competitively sound share.google/Gjf9a1Sl01eL...

Brilliant player who didn't stop pushing for a minute. Pushing herself, pushing the team, mentoring the young players and bringing joy to the fans around the stadium every week.
Kenza, this award is more than recognition of your goals, assists, tackles, or passes completed. It is our way to thank you for giving us hope and bringing joy back to the fans in San Diego for the hard work and spirit you show every time you are on the pitch.
