I had an insightful conversation recently with a former politician wherein we commiserated at the lack of internationalism among progressive/left/pro-democracy forces, even as the right excels at it. It would require, imo, Americans embracing this kind of thing

I gotta get up early in the morning to go get an MRI done
Don’t worry, I’ll ace it and get a perfect score, cause that’s how it works of course

And after that I’m going to a book convention to try and find some manga and stuff

Will be a pretty busy day here
Hope all of your days are good too! 💜

DOJ has sued Maine, Oregon, California, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington, Delaware, Maryland, New Mexico, Rhode Island, and Vermont for access to its most sensitive voter data.

My firm has moved to intervene in 10 of those cases. We are working on the last 4.

Only criminals attack the innocent. ICE agents abusing power should be arrested, and so should the man who gave them their orders.

Thankfully, the Polish doctor who was arrested for providing a medically necessary later abortion has had her criminal investigation dropped. Prosecutors deemed that she did not violate Poland’s strict abortion laws. An anti-choice fanatic who attacked her is facing criminal charges for assault.

This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…

Calling the press “fake news” is harmful. Calling them “seditious, perhaps even treasonous” for publishing reporting is something else entirely. Treason is a capital crime. Suggesting journalists should face it for exercising their First Amendment rights and doing their jobs is dangerous.
