What’s interesting about the Panama/Greenland thing is not whether or not it happens. It’s how Trump has expanded our collective notion of what’s politically possible. I wonder how durable that will be, and what it would look like for a left-leaning POTUS to use that “anything could happen” feeling.

So many of my close friends believe in things like this, and I’ve been beating myself up this past year trying to learn how to be a more supportive and less judgemental friend. So thank you. This makes me feel seen.
