I hope folks realize that between Trump, Kushner, Hegseth, Witkoff, Noem, RFK, Jr., Kash Patel, and Tulsi Gabbard, this country is almost entirely undefended.
Q: Have you heard this audio that Bloomberg has of Witkoff coaching the Russians on how to appeal to you?

TRUMP: That's a standard thing. He's gotta sell this to Ukraine, he's gonna sell Ukraine to Russia. That's what a dealmaker does. I haven't heard it but I heard it was standard negotiation.

I swore an oath to the Constitution in 1986. I've upheld it through 25 years of service and every day since I retired.

If Trump's trying to intimidate me, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to our country to be silenced by bullies who care more about power than the Constitution.

Anybody else old enough to remember the story about Michael Deaver (Reagan Administration) and not caring about what the press actually reported as long as the White House got the visuals it wanted? No mystery what the Trump minions are doing here

Except, of course, it’s *not* all he can say.

Cassidy could concede publicly that confirming Kennedy was a tragic mistake. He could call for RFK Jr's resignation. He could schedule hearings, haul the secretary to Capitol Hill, and demand the CDC’s public resources reflect the scientific cannon.
TAPPER: You were the deciding vote that allowed RFK Jr to ascend to the role of Health Secretary. Did you give him too much credit?

CASSIDY: The fact is the scientific community agrees that vaccines are safe. That's all I can say.

I’ve seen so many posts claiming that the Burns documentary said the founding generation got the idea of union from the Iroquois confederacy. I didn’t see that at all. But just mentioning the IC in the same breadth as Union made some people go ballistic.

I maybe be just a small-town political scientist but I reckon that the Trump administration's right hand has no fucking idea what its far-right hand is doing.

Really hoping Dem congressional leadership doesn't waste any time in uniting around a demand that Witkoff and Rubio be fired immediately. Trump "Administration" performance on Ukraine would be hilarious if not so truly dangerpus and hostile to American interests.

My husband @captmarkkelly.bsky.social is a 25-year Navy combat pilot veteran. He served our country with strength, courage, and integrity.

The President called him a traitor and demanded he be executed. It is dangerous and wrong. Americans need to stand up and say so.
I've had a missile blow up next to my airplane, been shot at dozens of times by anti-aircraft fire, and launched into orbit — all for my country. I never thought I'd see a President call for my execution.

Trump doesn’t understand the Constitution, and we're all less safe for it.

Couldn't resist. I asked Elon Musk's Grok whether the American people are worthy of Musk.

Surprise! The answer is no. "We (the American people) are still on probation. He (Musk) is carrying the country harder than it deserves, but maybe-just maybe- we're starting to wake up."

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

I understand the outrage at Trump's illegal elimination of the Department of Education, but let's not overlook one modest silver lining: we'd no longer have to put up with the execrable Secretary, Linda McMahon.
