I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

A Colorado restaurant is helping out furloughed government workers! The special runs from October 6-10th, 11 AM through 2 PM. Furloughed workers get a free sandwich with a side or salad with a protein, plus one free beverage (including beer and wine!).

Beginning the first full day of furlough. I already feel out of sorts. I should be reading email and laying out my work load. I should be planning ahead to keep experiments running at the lab. I should be checking supplies in the 3D print prototyping lab. Instead, I’m left to worry about the future.

Reminder. Congress gets paid during a shutdown. Fed workers do not.

On top of that, feds deemed essential must continue working while not getting paid.

Refusal to work could easily lead to termination.

Make sure to find a way to helps feds who will be impacted by losing pay. Not all make big $$
