This.

Knowing that they were going to do this, they should have addressed the public on the decision. Made USE of the moment.
This is actually good spin, or would have been. But the fact that the Democratic cave happened without even a coordinated, agreed-upon message like this indicates the depth of the leadership void.

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

Guys! Katie Wilson has pulled ahead in the race for Seattle’s mayor!

They’re still counting votes and she’s only ahead by a hair (less than 100 votes!) but the trend lines are looking good!!

It is incredible — the blind spots you develop when you’ve never, ever been poor.
Trump claims that food stamps "puts the country in jeopardy. People that are able-bodied can do a job, they leave their job because they figure they can pick this up, it's easier."

At least Dems got a ceremonial vote on the ACA subsidies in the senate so Susan Collins can vote against her party on that knowing it won’t pass but she’ll be able to run on another vote that allows her to pretend to be a moderate. The deal is an in-kind contribution to Collins.

What an utterly bizarre and disingenuous response. No one's asking for the nuclear codes, Dr. Oz, just affordable healthcare. #healthcare #ACA #affordablehealthcare
BARTIROMO: How do you want this to play out once the ACA subsidies expire?

DR OZ: We have lots of great ideas, but I don't want to show our cards. As the president often says, why would I telegraph to you what we're gonna do?

What was the word? Oh, right. Weird. #weird
MARIA: “What will you do when the ACA subsidies expire (and health insurance premiums skyrocket)?”

DR. OZ: “I don’t want to show our cards.” 🤔

GEO is one of the largest private prison corporations.
SCOTUS will hear arguments in The GEO Group, Inc. v. Menocal shortly.

The official question here is narrow and procedural, but GEO is using it as a vehicle to ask for something much bigger. It effectively wants federal contractors to have the same degree of immunity as the government itself.

Solar’s price drop is astonishing: panels are now 98% cheaper than when I first analyzed them in 2004.

Today, building a fence with solar can be cheaper than using wood.

There are two big problems with the “the Dem strategy wasn’t working argument.” One is that it was. The other is that changing the strategy did not require capitulation.

Then the lobbyists called and…you get the picture. It wasn’t about the people, never has been, never will be.

This is no shade to Karen, but a lot depends on how primaries are held in your state. If you're a progressive in a closed primary state like NY, congrats registering as an independent blocked you from voting from Mamdani in the primary. If you're in an open primary state, you do you.
And this is why I’m registered as an independent.

Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.
