Thanks. I follow them but they didn't post anything about the construction on Barrington at rush hour. Thanks, though.

Anyone know who posts regular traffic updates on this app for Halifax?
tempaleigh.bsky.social
Yes, I did. And when it comes to being nasty, insulting, close-minded, bullying, and intolerant, the far-right and far-left can have a lot in common.
tempaleigh.bsky.social
Indeed. Some people just can't stop chasing the dopamine hit of schoolyard insults.

The original lava lamp was created in the UK in 1963. Brand is Mathmos. Every lamp I've researched in North America is crap. Mathmos doesn't ship to Canada. This is the kinda thing I wish we could change. Why can't we get shit from the UK?

Wow, great solution. So anyone who doesn't live close to the suburban office is screwed. No, people don't actually love the office. We already have a solution. It's called hybrid work. What is wrong with us?
People don't hate the office, they hate the commute — and that's driving demand for suburban work spaces
Canadians are sick of traffic with commuting times getting longer and longer, but will they be happy with desks near their homes? Read on.

I was actually expecting this to be worse. That said, he'd better start adhering to the words in his own book. Hubris is a personal and professional liability. And the dress code? That's what he focused on? Controlling silly things like that makes for a negative workplace and bad leadership.

Gov. Josh Shapiro: "I respect the Canadian people and Canada's sovereignty... When POTUS bullies Canada, threatens to make them the 51st state, belittles them, undermines their sovereignty, that undermines the interests of our farmers and the people who work in our factories."

While I am no lawyer, much less one skilled enough to make constitutional arguments before the Supreme Court, I think the danger that an unbounded S33 represents warrants constraints. Otherwise provincial legislatures can essentially shred The Charter at whim.

A bleak, yet thorough and realistic read. This isn't meant to deter us from fighting, but it paints the real economic picture. The US is a bahemeth. We can't change our geography, and it sucks.

Gift Link// Whether the US's ongoing act of political suicide evolves as a murder-suicide is of more than passing interest to the US’s northern domestic partner. Canada is extremely -- uniquely -- vulnerable. I spoke to executives, defense analysts, others. www.bloomberg.com/opinion/feat...
Can Canada Survive Donald Trump?
Under assault from an increasingly aggressive and authoritarian United States, the country’s future looks less secure than at any time in postwar history.

And who, in your opinion, was the last good diplomat?

I don't think you realize just how much of our economy depends on trade with the US. It's huge. And we can't instantly make deals with other countries. So we tread water while we search for new trading partners. It's not ideal, but it's realistic.

Police in Airdrie, Alberta (just north of Calgary) say this driver hit a 17-year-old girl in a marked crosswalk, got out of the vehicle, and appeared to get upset at the teenager before driving away.

They released this video and are now trying to identify the driver.

Just wait--'cause it's coming--PP will tell us Canadians, in his whiny little weasel voice, that somehow he would have magically been able to make the bestest deal ever.
