Last summer I visited Paris and walked the entire length of the Original Transit Route. Afterwards I visited the church where Pascal died and is interred, to place a .05¢ piece on his resting place.

as the night lows drop to almost freezing across the bay where most people let alone the unhoused are prepared for it im thinking of this once again.

i hope for a day where the empathy can be towards keeping everyone housed forever because we have ended homelessness through compassion
Every time it rains in San Francisco, let that increase your empathy for the unhoused.

A former mud trail in Dogpatch is now an “unofficial” city park.

Love this fun little civic victory brought to our attention by my longtime @sfchronicle.com colleague Sam Whiting.

A forgotten corner of San Francisco is transformed into a public green oasis
What began as a mud trail and no-man’s-land in San Francisco’s Dogpatch is now Minnesota Grove, a lush pedestrian oasis shaped by local stewardship and a Public Works upgrade.

Merry Christmas! A feel good story for the occasion.
An immigrant mom’s American dream: Driving a San Francisco bus
Of SFMTA’s roughly 2,500 Muni operators, only 1.7% are Asian women. Peggy Le is one of them.

It’s our birthday!

For 12 (13?) years we’ve been highlighting the brightest San Franciscans and the best of San Francisco! And we haven’t come close to running out of content.

How will we celebrate? How else? With breakfast!

Join us at Hamburger Haven tomorrow for our last show of the year!

Whatever you think about transit in San Francisco, we have the best branding:

I received some of these letters and they are extremely touching and special, a wonderful gift that made me feel marvelous.
We're grateful for all the riders, advocates, and operators who make Bay Area transit so special. During Transit Month, SFSU's Transfer Community Organization and Transfer Peer Mentor Program delivered hand-written letters dedicated to some of their favorite transit operators. Check them out here!

I’m forcing WB to remake Coyote Vs Acme.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

But the real magic happens when we enjoy those maps together. MAPS FOR KIDS is here! Let's meet our three maps: visionarypress.com/pages/maps-f...

Several of my recent shifts have been unusually stressful or more difficult than is typical. I've been confronted with handling a disorderly drunk person who was making inappropriate comments to women and girls on my bus. There's been onerous reroutes related to a Waymo involved collision.

Emily Sneddon saw beauty in the display on an obsolete San Francisco streetcar.

So she visited @sfmta.bsky.social yards, looked at serial numbers & searched for the engineer who created it.

A nice story about a kind & curious person in a good city.

San Francisco has a new font. It was inspired by an old Muni streetcar
A San Francisco designer fell in love with the typeface on an old Muni streetcar. She tracked down the man who created it to build the city’s newest font.
