Also prevents us from getting killed by the food and products we consume. I especially appreciate that part.
I was reading something recently that talked about how "regulation" has become a dirty word. The powers that be have managed to convince a lot of people, not just conservatives, that we're stopping "innovation". When in reality, "regulation" is what keeps us from getting ripped off constantly.
