At this point the only two realistic possibilities are this or Preller was (somehow) blindsided by them putting the team up for sale and said "screw this. I'll do my year but im out" yet of the two that seems the least likely.
At this point I feel like the Seidlers are punting an extension decision to the new owners.

It wasn't an offer but basically a job offer would come, except for one problem. Despite the posting saying remote, and despite the people I talked with in the interviews saying remote work is a possibility. Turns out that this role is in office in Michigan. So now please let me get the other offer
I'm somewhat expecting to receive two offers, one this week & another next week, which isnt ideal. One will be fully remote & certainly pay more than the other. But it's not one I necessarily want because it's in tech where I got burned & the other job would set me up better if I get laid off again
