Things that are cathartic for me to write out. That may be cathartic for you to read. Be cathartic with me.

The message needs to be that Democrats need to reclaim their space on social media. We all retreated in the last few years as things grew toxic, but online spaces is where the ground game is won/lost in modern politics, and too many Dems are "just tired of the fighting online." Well, too bad.
I know some of you need to hear this...but that outrage you feel after reading this?

That's ok. That means you are human. That means you think compassion should be the default when someone is murdered.

Lean into that. Be outraged that our President shows no compassion and is a complete monster.

And Nate Silverism is when you are right one time, leading you to assume that everyone else is always wrong, for the rest of eternity.
Blueskyism is when people don't want to hear my opinions

What about the poor people who get stopped and questioned repeatedly for their papers based solely on their looks. That's not fair to them.

Oh, I've got an idea. Let's give them a patch to wear to identify them as citizens who might LOOK illegal but are ok to be here. Something like this?

We all agree that if farmers weren't predominantly Republican voters, Donald Trump wouldn't be bailing them out, right?

Well I've identified a particularly concerning uptick in using the term "radicalized" to describe young people who simply don't like Donald Trump.
FBI official hints at new counterterrorism focus on young Americans online.

"FBI has identified a particularly concerning uptick in radicalization of young people. Radicalization of domestic terrorist most often occurs online."

Low contact kerfuffles are my favorite brand of kerfuffle.
Grayson Allen knocks over Chet Holmgren on a screen and we have a low contact kerfuffle. Allen was assessed a flagrant 2 and ejected

Textbook "how to appear casual during a full body camera shot while sitting in a chair".

Nailed it guys. Way to hit your marks.

The President looks today like he ran face first through a HI-C Orange drink factory, and it's not news at all.

Um..wrong?
Trump may be immune from federal criminal prosecution. Accountability he is NOT immune from:

Impeachment
Censure
Congressional Investigation
International Law
Public opinion

So let's cut it with the narrative that we can't hold this man accountable for being a murderer and a monster.
Trump is immune from accountability for boat strikes. What about everyone under him? | CNN Politics
There is one person who can never face any accountability for the killing of people clinging to an alleged drug boat in the Caribbean in September.

This can not be overstated.

We CAN NOT apply rules of war to what amounts to simple criminal activity.

If we drop bombs on suspected drug smugglers than we can fire rockets at suspected money launderers, use land mines against assumed illegal immigrants, etc...
Kudos to the NYT for not getting sucked into an obfuscatory second-order debate.

And today...the story is completely gone from their homepage all together.
I laugh just thinking how if this black man had told the FBI he was with Antifa as opposed to an election denier...this would be the top story for a week as opposed to sandwiched on CNN.com between a Williams Sonoma ad and a story on winners/losers of today's World Cup draw.

(spits out coffee)

What the fuck.
Donald Trump just removed Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth from the list of free entry days at national parks.

They are being replaced with Trump’s birthday.

Let's take a moment and assess. Sabrina Carpenter, a US citizen, told the US government to not use her likeness or intellectual property to push their agenda.

And the US government basically just told her to go fuck herself. From the official White House account.

We live under fascist rule now.
Sabrina Carpenter ratioed the White House after it used her song in an ICE video.

The WH deleted the post…but now it’s back with a new ICE video, this time using an altered clip from Carpenter’s SNL monologue.

It appears that whatever memory illness that Speaker Mike Johnson suffers from is starting to infect other members of Congress as well.
Q: You outlined the dangers posed by drugs. So what explanation do you have for Trump pardoning the former president of Honduras?

SEN. ROGER MARSHALL: I don't know the details. Happy to look into it. I can't speak to it

Q: Alright. Um. Ok. Like, no thought on it?

MARSHALL: I haven't researched it

Sort of shocked the wheels are coming off when you consider how many lug nuts are in charge in this administration.
Donald Trump is crumbling before us.

Pete Hegseth is under fire for war crimes, with congressional inquiries looming.

Kash Patel is getting publicly humiliated by his own FBI agents.

RFK Jr.'s freak flag is getting national attention thanks to the Lizza-Nuzzi insanity.

The wheels are coming off.

In case you’re wondering why Pete Hegseth is freaking out about a congressional video reminding the military not to participate in illegal orders:
To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.
Textbook war crime/extrajudicial killing

"Two survivors were clinging to the smoldering wreck. The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack ... ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions."
