Layoffs just hit their highest start-of-year total since January 2009 — the height of the Great Recession — according to data tracking firm Challenger.

Meanwhile, CEO pay and corporate profits continue to hit record highs.

Does anyone still believe that trickle-down tax cuts create jobs?

When money and power protect abusers instead of victims, the system itself is broken. Trump didn’t invent that reality — he took advantage of it. And until the system changes, accountability will remain optional for the powerful.

"If ICE murdering people in the streets doesn’t warrant immediate relief, what does? The most facile — but nonetheless true — answer is that the Supreme Court can do whatever it wants, but other courts can’t."

He once preached that "wives are the subjects of their husbands."

Senate Republicans just gave him a lifetime judicial appointment.

We really are in deep shit. If you ARE a centrist and risk averse, shouldn't you want to abolish ICE? The most likely problem we'll have in the midterms won't be procedural garbage but random violence perpetrated by ICE. Abolish is turning the temperature down.
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

explain to me, very slowly, like the dimwitted child you must think I am, how body cameras or ICE cooperating with cops would have prevented any of the many, many, many law enforcement murders committed by both ICE and cops over the years which were already thoroughly documented on video

No we don’t you worthless lump of campaign bribes, we want ICE abolished and every person who committed crimes, as well as those who allowed it to happen, prosecuted. Go fucking retire, you’ve done enough damage already.

Here's an effective way to fight back against ICE fascists.

As ICE terrorizes cities nationwide, a group of city prosecutors are coordinating their efforts to criminally prosecute ICE's abuses.

At GSA we built an AI tool with safeguards against data consolidation to avoid violations exactly like these.

After firing the people who made it, DOGE rolled a version of it out all over government, including at DHS.

I helped build a government AI system. DOGE fired me, rolled the AI out to the whole agency, and implied the AI can do my job and the jobs of the others they've fired.

This leaked video of a presentation by DOGE at GSA headquarters 10 months ago outlines the plan. Couched as a part of their "AI strategy," Musk's people said they needed to scoop up all government data so AI could use it.
Let’s begin with Stephen Ehikian, Musk’s pick to head the GSA, speaking at GSA HQ on March 20th. He has a plan to centralize government data and point AI at it:

"As you think about the future of AI, in order to think about using any of these tools at scale, we gotta get our data in one place"
