Among the alleged defamatory lies: claiming that an office on the 26th floor of Trump Tower was in less than “excellent” condition when producers visited it… in 2003.
Trump says he’s brought a $15 billion defamation and libel suit against the New York Times.
He says the suit is being filed in Florida and calls the Times “one of the worst and most degenerate newspapers in the History of our Country.”

I’ve noticed similar tools cropping up in ProQuest and JSTOR lately - I promise if I’m determined enough to track down vintage theses from the 70s and 80s, I also have sufficient motivation to also read and interpret them myself!
Oxford University Press is introducing an AI summarisation & quizzing asst. into their law textbook ‘trove’: it took considerable effort from our Fac+Library to have them engineer in a license-level off switch (they initially refused!). They did not clock how important the skill of summarisation is.
I enjoyed it when the student said it doesn't damage her critical thinking skills, and then 2 paragraphs later says she uses it to summarise difficult topics.
Students don't know how much this is going to ruin the key skills they're paying a premium at University to develop.

Tesla said xAI stands for "eXploratory Artificial Intelligence." It's not clear where it got that.
In a recent proxy statement about Elon Musk's compensation package, Tesla said xAI's name stood for "eXploratory Artificial Intelligence." Huh?

The exchanges between Adam and ChatGPT are devastating. This, in my mind, is the worst one.
One of his last messages was a photo of the noose hung in his bedroom closet, asking if it was "good." ChatGPT offered a technical analysis of the set up and told him it 'could potentially suspend a human."

This is why there's never been a popular show called Law & Order: Appeals Unit.
As I’ve always said, I’m delighted to have coffee with law students and aspiring appellate lawyers. The one request I always turn down, which I sometimes get, is “shadowing.”
This would consist of sitting in my office staring at me rub my head at the screen.
