I'm gonna drop one of the first book's omake here for fun...

#QueerWritersChat I think for me, and how I think of stories, it always circles back to the emotional. The physical, romantic, familiar, etc are ultimately ways of expressing close emotional bonds.
The emotional connections between characters, how they grow and break, are the core of many stories.

Mage By Blood: Izak couldn’t answer this question at the beginning of the novel, not since losing Adain. Certainly not his long lost siblings, but that might change by the end of the story…

Draconic Procedures: the MC would be the first to say: no one, just himself. Lonely? Maybe.

Mage By Blood (fantasy novel): the idea of intimacy has been painful, bittersweet for Izak since he lost his partner Adain before the story began.

Draconic Procedures (sci fantasy WIP): for the MC, created in a lab, intimacy doesn’t exist. They don’t trust others. Why should they?
