Second place: would be much more reasonable, but they are at 99% capacity and can’t currently offer respite care. At least a 2 month wait for an opening of any kind, which is tbh pretty standard for assisted living.

Looking into respite care for my parents so I can get them out of the long-stay hotel and stop spending half my waking hours handling their medical care. First place quoted me $500/ day / parent for a minimum of 30 days. #gerentologymath $30k / month.

What Barry said. My parents have long term care insurance and it is for basically minimal home care, not respite. That and Medicare and their regular health insurance would cover rehab, but not assisted living / nursing care.

all discourse aside, there is one machine with consciousness. it's printers. they are alive and conscious and they hate you and they'd take your arm clean off if you let them. never trust a printer.
