No fiddling with income tax or raising car taxes or pathetic trade deals will cover this annual black hole. There is nothing any government in this country can do to make up this gap. The choice is to rejoin or inevitable and fast decline.
Brexit reduced the UK’s GDP by between 6% and 8%. That is MASSIVE. #ProjectFear #wetoldyouso

Trump on President Xi: "During the meeting, he's here, and he's got about 6 people on each side. And every one of those people were at attention. And I made a comment to one of them and it got no response. And President Xi didn't let him. I said, I want my cabinet to behave like that."

Even Elon Musk's biased Grok estimates the cost to UK of Brexit at about £300bn a year (about £60bn in tax).

All the 'black holes' we have are just Brexit.

Stop filling them in with tax rises and Public Service cuts and just get rid of Brexit.

I say it every week, but this Packers team simply cannot kill teams off, it cannot put teams to the sword. Always, always leaves a door open. Too conservative in their play, too much fear, too much respect.

As the country seemingly looks to usher in a new world of racism, intolerance and voting to make themselves poorer/working longer again, I was struck yesterday by a painting I saw in the Harris in Preston. It's called 'The Common Market' by William Roberts in 1963. 1/2

He needs an excuse. He needs a reaction from *somebody*. He wants riots in Chicago, LA, Portland, or Boston, or Venezuela to retaliate in some way, because then he can either declare insurrection/war and cancel all forthcoming elections for years to come, and the Supreme Court will wave it through
Q: What did you mean when you said you're prepared to send 'more than the National Guard' into American cities?

TRUMP: if I want to enact a certain act, I'd be allowed to do whatever I want. The courts wouldn't get involved. Nobody would. I could send Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines -anybody I want

Trump Org’s income in the first half of 2024 was $51 million.

In the first half of 2025 it rose to $864 million.

A massive percentage came from foreigners.

It should be the biggest scandal in the history of American politics.

But few even care. www.reuters.com/investigatio...
Inside the Trump family’s global crypto cash machine
The U.S. president’s family raked in more than $800 million from sales of crypto assets in the first half of 2025 alone, a Reuters examination found, on top of potentially billions more in unrealized “on paper” gains. Much of that cash came from foreign sources as Donald Trump's sons touted their business on an international investor roadshow.

The whole set up feels very un-Moyes to me. No attacking full backs, no support to strikers from midfield and lots of farting about around the box. My opinion, but KDH, good player, but not the 10 we need. These strikers need direct support from centre mid/10, and he just isn't that type of player.
