Count me in!
5 years ago I started a team competition on Twitter to raise $ to fight hunger.

@tmprowell.bsky.social gave us a hashtag & much needed organization

Our team of teen volunteers work wonders in the background & we’ve raised >$3.1 million!

Competition starts tomorrow, join us?

Get ready! This makes the dark November days so much brighter!!! We are small but team #YouPickTwo (Med-Peds and any combined specialties) loves to participate!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Mark your calendars because #HCWvsHunger 2025 starts in just one week…

And if you donated early due to the shutdown keep those receipts because we are going to find a way to count them.

Let’s feed some more people 🍎

ADHD increases dementia risk, but the available epidemiological data suggests that stimulant medications may normalize risk. Totally fascinating

Thanks @hologramvin.bsky.social for this post! I did not know this so I hunted down the original paper:

Can confirm, am radical.
My radical views are that I’d prefer to pay for healthcare for all and food for everyone than have my tax dollars support genocide, ICE, and the bank accounts of the super wealthy.

Pediatrics is the lowest paid medical specialty. Our numbers are decreasing despite a constant rate of children in the US. If children are to be a priority, especially their health, something needs to change.

We are different, not broken.
Misunderstood, not mistaken.
Diverse, not diseased.

Autistic folk deserve to exist and love their fullest lives. Stop trying to fix the unfixable.
The insidious “obvious now” factor is that all this dialog of vaccine and Tylenol causing autism is that it’s normalizing and setting the tone of “neurodivergence is an unforgivable sin and we must not let them exist”

We are not a sin.
We deserve to exist.
We deserve love.

Interesting. Wondering how this affects peds-adjacent specialties (read #MedPeds), and what it will do for inpatient specialties (especially Heme/Onc, among the last of the subspecialties that hasn't given up their inpatient services)
Big changes are coming to #Pediatrics training.

🏥 Less inpatient time
🧠 New required mental health rotation
🩺 More outpatient & individualized curriculum

How will this reshape hospital medicine?
