With his ultimatum that Ukraine surrender to Russia, Trump finally wins a prize:

The Neville Chamberlain award for betraying peace, freedom, and justice.

The bassline that soundtracked a generation. So much of what made The Stone Roses iconic was down to him.

Their debut album remains one of the greatest of all time with the best intro you will ever hear.

It’s gone so quickly from ‘boat people’ to all immigrants. So quickly from ‘I don’t mind if they come here legally and pay taxes’ to ‘actually it’s anyone foreign’. We are living in the ‘first they came for’ poem. All to give the population a scapegoat so the super rich can hoard yet more wealth.

This is the playbook, folks.

If you're not paying attention now and doing something about it, then you're going to have to sit down the rest of your life because democracy is being taken away.

Do not be quiet in this moment.

Delighted that #Adolescence triumphed at the Emmys. Thoroughly deserved recognition for creating a masterpiece that got the entire world talking.

"He's not a hero."
"He's a scumbag."
"He shouldn't be celebrated."

No, no. I'm not saying that about Charlie Kirk. Charlie Kirk said that about George Floyd.

Just in case anyone's interested in what he thought was fair to say about someone who was killed on camera.

Elon Musk openly called for violence on our streets yesterday.

I hope politicians from all parties come together to condemn his deeply dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric.

Britain must stand united against this clear attempt to undermine our democracy.

there's a weird feedback loop where the media's reaction to kirk's death pushes you to speak more ill of the dead than you otherwise would because it's the only reasonable response to the simpering praise they're heaping on him

The death of Charlie Kirk is a direct result of the violent rhetoric used by Trump and the seeds of hatred he has sown.

Political violence is never the answer. Violence begets violence and I fear the fallout from this could be horrific.
