ICE needs to follow all laws and are grabbing people without any regard for their citizenship or status. They are terrorizing our communities and escalating tensions in our neighborhoods.

Ice needs to get out of Minnesota.

I’m seeing people get mad at this but it is a problem that any attempts to arrest an ICE officer come with a very real threat of them shooting at the police who try to do it and I think it’s good that Frey is talking about that. I don’t know how to deal with that either!
"The question that you're basically asking is, can our cops arrest them? From a legal perspective, yes. From a practical perspective...they have bigger guns than we do." That's where we're at.

One thing Ross’s angle of the shooting reveals is that he had pretty decent evidence that the person he was about to shoot is a Lesbian and I don’t think it’s unwarranted to venture that this influenced his eagerness to kill her

Alpha News is a far-right site run by the wife of the former head of the Minneapolis police union.

Whoever leaked this to them thinks it makes Ross look good.

Which is just astonishing.
Alpha News claims that it has obtained the cellphone video recorded by the ICE officer who shot and killed Renee Good.

(Warning: Disturbing.)

It's not innovation per se (on which the US is very good), but its dissemination through the economy and society that determines the success of nations. Europe take note. A good essay by Angela Zhang on the Chinese angle on this. www.project-syndicate.org/commentary/c...

This cannot be stressed enough, from the 404 piece yesterday: ICE is working from a legal rationale which states that if a device is collecting adtech or location data, which is then sold to ICE, b/c the owner didn't change the privacy settings, the owner relinquished their Fourth Amendment rights.

But Trump admits it was an attack to "take over" a whole country.

Hello Tim Cook I worked at Tumblr when you gave us 48 hours to get rid of all the consenting, adult boobs. Up all night at your whim, out of the blue. But you're still cool with Twitter and its CSAM and revenge porn and whatever the fuck this is? Why do you even HAVE guidelines?
Previously, several of these companies, like Apple, IBM, and Disney, have paused advertising on X in response to antisemitic content. But antisemitism on X never slowed, sexual abuse imagery increased, and all of these companies quietly resumed advertising anyways.

Why isn't there a bigger Grok boycott?
Advertisers, politicians, and investors are still all-in on X, despite a sexual abuse crisis.

I'm glad to see this pressure on Google and Apple. If any other company was running an active CSAM generator in public you better believe it would have been removed from their app stores by now www.wired.com/story/x-grok...
Why Are Grok and X Still Available in App Stores?
Elon Musk’s chatbot has been used to generate thousands of sexualized images of adults and apparent minors. Apple and Google have removed other “nudify” apps—but continue to host X and Grok.
