Lol being a souls noob and very impatient I got through most of Elden Ring by levelling strength, walking into bosses, and swinging my greatsword. I missed huge chunks of the game and when I reached the Fire Giant I was insanely underlevelled and it was just impossible for me.
the funny thing about souls difficulty discourse is that the way the gamerbros play it (str builds, two-handing etc) is always the easiest way to play the whole game. Some bosses may give them trouble but on the whole it's the simplest easiest build for a souls game.

So I finished Baby Steps yesterday and yup I still think it's a masterpiece! I went in expecting a silly funny game that I would inevitably abandon, and instead found myself driven to complete it and totally moved by the story.
