Due to the UK Supreme Court ruling, my partner and I are leaving Britain as soon as we can. If you can help I would appreciate it.

I will still try to help from abroad and expose the horrors this government is putting us through.

I’ve created a GoFundMe to help me leave the UK. I’m vulnerable because of my phsychotic disorder, which makes the current political situation for trans people much more dangerous for me. If you can, please consider donating. If you can’t, please share my campaign. Thank you.

I think it just needs to be approved by the minister and then it can be published by either EHRC and or government
tillywittrup.bsky.social
Laying the guidance literally just means putting it in the House of Commons library it doesn’t mean it’s published or anything.
tillywittrup.bsky.social
There is a difference between releasing the guidance and laying it before parliament. It could to my understanding be released anytime by EHRC or by minister once approved, but it can first be laid and start the timer from 13th October.

But each situation is different, and some in the UK will arguably have worse living conditions than one in the US, and vice versa. I’m just genuinely concerned about both countries. I do admire the people who decide to stay and fight as well. Each decision is personal
tillywittrup.bsky.social
But I don’t live in the US. I just know that personally I’d attempt to leave either country quickly. But with the US I’d probably try to leave quicker and with less of a plan and savings to get out faster. Whereas I’m trying for now in Britain to leave a little slower due to having more time.
tillywittrup.bsky.social
To an extend. But some states are worse than the UK, and my concern in the US is signs of proto concentration camps. I’m in the process of leaving Britain, but I would attempt to leave the US faster than if I were living in Britain.
tillywittrup.bsky.social
I understand that as well ❤️It’s heartbreaking to see how bad things are in the US.

I just hope that the UK does not follow suit when Nigel Farage gets in. Labour has already done the ground work in Britain to get rid of trans and intersex rights.

While it is an individual decision to stay, I urge you to just read this short and emotional article. Even if you are not an trans american.

So I’ve done the math, and I may be a day or two off but, if guidance is published (ehrc):

4th December if laid today.
5th December if laid Monday.
8th December if laid Tuesday
9th December if laid on 13 October

Parliamentary recess starts Wednesday and parliament resumes Monday 13 October.
tillywittrup.bsky.social
If she had laid it before parliament yesterday it’d only have made a day difference anyway. It’s 40 sitting days before it becomes statutory. If it was laid when they’re back it would be earliest December.

Under the genocide convention all states are required to prevent and punish genocide.
tillywittrup.bsky.social
This is honestly too late. Genocide is a crime against humanity, and the UN and the international community has been way too slow to act on it. I still wouldn’t be surprised if Keir says no genocide is going on in Gaza.

Israel has committed genocide in Gaza, UN commission of inquiry says
The panel finds that four of the five genocidal acts defined under international law have been carried out against Palestinians during the war.

If it was up to me it’d be sent back and rewritten to be inclusive
tillywittrup.bsky.social
Until it’s statutory some businesses won’t enforce it, others will. It’ll be a weird mixture unfortunately.
tillywittrup.bsky.social
It depends. MPs has less chance to coordinate if it’s laid tomorrow and thus the press will have forgotten about it by when they get back. There’ll still be a media storm, but without MPs organising. Depends on how she wants to get it through.
tillywittrup.bsky.social
She can still lay it tomorrow. But it’ll first be statutory earliest in December

I’m not saying we should support Labour or endorse him. Just putting this out for reference.

A reminder of what Andy Burnham said on LBC post Supreme Court ruling. The only info I can find after the ruling. This was on 27/04/2025. In case he were to challenge Keir Starmer this is what we know

So, 19 months since the lying EHRC last met TransLucent, a trans group they claimed they were 'meeting regularly'.
stephrichards.bsky.social
I want to confirm with our colleagues at @tacc.org.uk that TransLucent met formally with the EHRC four times between February 2022 & 2024.

We attended a multi LGBT meeting on 5/4/23, and I had a very short meeting with their Chairwoman on 6/7/23. We've not met with them since February last year.
