If I ever reply to you and say "The problem is ..." then I apologise in advance.
I hate that phrase. There never is "a" problem. The real world is really complex.

If you use the phrase "common sense" instead of reasoned argument you may not get a reply.

The daily posts detailing those poor souls who were forcibly incarcerated there provide a sobering reminder of what happens when those without empathy are handed the reins of power.
Sadly, those who most need to receive these reminders won't be the ones 1/

Who should our government work for?

That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.

Reminder that Congress has the power to stop all of this. Where the hell are they?

Four days into 2026 and I have a lifer!
I had heard about a Latham's snipe being at a local wetland area so went to see if I could find it. Found two! Only 20 minutes from home too.
Very hard to see in the reeds and at a distance.
(Lifer: Birder talk for the first time you see a bird species.)

It’s 2026 and one of the first things that has happened is that a major news outlet has announced that it will no longer seek information from experts.

I don’t think this is gonna help with what I think is the most existential threat to our society currently: disinformation.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

The doctors chosen by a criminal fraud who knowingly surrounded himself with criminals willing to lie, commit crimes, and fall on a grenade for him said he's in good mental health, so that should totally be "okay" for everyone to believe. Right.

Tonight, the President of the United States has launched an unconstitutional war of aggression, dooming another generation to spill their blood for oil, and lay waste to a sovereign nation.

I demand that Congress exercise its power, halt this conflict, and impeach this war criminal president.

Trump siding with Putin isn’t a quirk.

It’s a pattern and a national security threat.

Helsinki proved it.

This week he echoed a false claim about Ukraine attacking Putin’s residence, now debunked.

He believes Putin first.
America last.

It turns out that “Russia, Russia, Russia” is not a hoax.

DEI has been deliberately misrepresented.

It does not lower standards, it strengthens outcomes.

DEI widens the lens so excellence isn’t overlooked.

You are still hiring the best.

It simply ensures talent isn’t missed because of bias or exclusion.

DEI doesn’t replace merit.
It protects it.
