From what I’ve gathered the firefighters were sent to space despite the asteroid storm not in response to it à la Armageddon, although I have to imagine there presence in space will help fight the asteroid storm in some way

Only 16% of adults have student debt. If only 9% of student debt is private you’re talking about a very small % of Americans that would be affected by cancelling private student debt
