The US may be in for yet another rough flu season. Influenza strain H3N2 has mutated into a new subclade & is associated w/ an earlier-than-usual start to flu season. H3N2 picked up ~7 new mutations in its hemagglutinin protein enabling it to attach to more readily to receptors on human cells👇

Humans tend to interpret things along lines that are familiar to us. There's the trap. Similarities are not relatedness.

Last month, the Tule River Indian Tribe purchased 17,000 acres of their ancestral lands where they are reintroducing tule elk. The purchase was partly funded by California’s Tribal Nature-Based Solutions Grant, which funds tribal land return projects. www.latimes.com/california/s....
