Hey artists, it may be wise to double check to see if Amazon is selling your items for you without your consent. Thread has a link to an opt-out email thankfully...
As if artists don't have enough to deal with, Amazon has a "Buy For Me" program in beta which is scraping indie shops for their items and putting them up on Amazon (often incorrectly), for their "AI agent" to buy from the other site. It is NOT opt in, and there is no opt out.
I just found out that our stuff is being sold on Amazon - WITHOUT our consent or any ability to opt out bc Amazon is just scraping artist’s websites and putting our shit in their search results. Again, without our permission.

For those of us who pay quarterly taxes or any other payment by December 31, this unheralded change in postal policy can bite you in the butt. This could have other unforeseen consequences (e.g., mail-in balloting), but for now, this is more timely.

Lily update: she's doing okay today, we got her napping a lot and are keeping her somewhat isolated. She comes out to eat and get a little roam time, but she isn't allowed to run and jump much so we have to keep her restricted to one room mostly. Here she is in her bread, which she escaped from.

No stream tonight cause I woke up to Lily with a suspicious and concerning wound on her side. We took her in and she had an abscess (likely from wrestling and playing) and she now has stitches and gets to wear a onesie or a cone. But we are taking it in stride, and discord is already memeing.
