This is a dated take, but I can't stop thinking about how bad the ABC news report on the attack on Venezuela was the night before last. Endlessly repeated White House framing, no mention of casualties, no dissenting voice, no pointing out it was illegal under both US and international law. Unreal.

I think the AI angle of this is obscurant. It doesn’t matter that grok is “an AI” whatever you take that to mean. Suppose X hired a team of guys to photoshop the clothes off of women and children whenever anyone asks. That’s functionally identical what happening here. It’s not complicated.
A functional country would shut Grok down permanently. Like, immediately. Right now. Last week. Whatever. Just flip the switch. Obviously.

Tax dollars already do much of the heavy lifting on medical research (at least until the current admin). The idea that medical science wouldn't happen without outsized profits (which mostly go to investors and private equity) is right wing propaganda.
How much are you going to pay doctors?
Which current hospitals get shut down ?
What happens if doctors opt out of the system ? Who is going to invest in new curative therapies. You ?
How much in taxes pr year do you think it's possible to collect if you took every penny from billionaires?

Half the amount that everyone currently pays could provide universal healthcare. Private health companies don’t need to exist. Eliminate them. And use your collective buying power and economies of scale to get it done. Every cent of their profit is healthcare denied.

Im in shock over what happen in Bondi yesterday and unable to think about anything else
Thinking of my Jewish friends & connections, and the entire Jewish community, and the fear and grief they are feeling. My heart breaks for the families of those killed, and the trauma inflicted on the community.
