The Supreme Court’s sweeping immunity decision in Trump v United States is the gift that keeps on giving. In the case of Portland and Chicago, it puts members of the military in an impossible position, and the President above the law. slate.trib.al/2PxBQqZ

I’m glad the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to a LATINA, Maria Corina Machado. She fights authoritarianism with grit, integrity, and struggles to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.

We aren't on the verge of an authoritarian takeover. We are in the middle of it.

But I worry people don't see the whole scheme. They just pay attention to each new daily outrage. So I went to the Senate floor to explain Trump's plan.

Here's a 🧵of the speech. It's important.

Why aren’t her constituents who voted for her not raising hell (demonstrations in DC, non-stop calls to Speaker J, protesters in Congress) and demanding she be sworn in as described by the Constitution? #Arizona

Around 14 million Americans are set to lose their insurance over the next 10 years. And out of the 10 hardest-hit states, 7 voted for Trump.

"So, Democrats have three words for this: no fucking way. It's literally life or death. We will not let Republicans blow up our health care system."

This is, hands down, the best comms work Chuck Schumer has done in YEARS. Surprisingly good.

If we look at 20th-century China and Germany as examples, it actually takes a few decades to recover from the type of self-harm that the US is currently inflicting on itself.
And he called US President Donald Trump's efforts to reshape American science and health policy -- including mass firings to government scientists and steep slashes to research budgets -- an "immensely serious problem."

"This will cripple much of United States science research," he told AFP, adding that he knew people who have taken enormous funding hits.

"It is going to be disastrous if this continues," Clarke said. "Assuming that the present administration finally comes to an end, it may take a decade to get back to where we were, say, half a year ago."

"It's a huge problem" that's "entirely beyond any understanding of anyone who is a scientist," he said.

As of yesterday, I had never heard of #ZachBryan. As of this morning, his name and song have passed by my sight and ears at least a dozen times. As a marketer I know that kind of exposure in such a short time is insanely expensive if he’d paid for PR services. Good for him and I hope his song sells.

TONIGHT: The PVD City Council is considering a draft ordinance that would strengthen the Providence Community-Police Relations Act.

This would expand the existing ordinance to better protect our immigrant community members + neighbors, reaffirming the city’s commitment to safeguarding civil rights.

Last month Judge Diane Goodstein blocked Trump from getting your voting data in South Carolina — Today, her house explodes.

I'm not jumping to conclusions but there's something mighty fishy 🐟 about this...

Ok, that woke me up! Bad Bunny’s take of the 70’s Spanish language TV show “El Chavo del 8” was eye opening. As a kid, I was never a fan bc I found the slapstick humor annoyingly idiotic. Yet, I know, and appreciate, it’s influence and stature within the history of Latin television. Kudos #SNL
