Last bit, for now, there is nothing satisfying about a character who has only known pain and suffering dying in a self sacrificial way. Especially when the death is so easily avoidable. It’s even worse when creatives try to spin it as a positive because they’re not suffering anymore.

The ridiculous thing is a Ben Solo movie was the only movie I actually needed from SW after Dec 2019. This is beyond disappointing news for me, but it is somewhat comforting to know that Adam, yourself, & LFL did care, just not Iger/Bergman who apparently do not want my money or support as a SW fan.

How did it set up that he would be redeemed and live? Going by your tone I'm not sure I'll get a pleasant response, but Ben did a whole slew of horrible shit; the story introduced him with literal genocide of a small village and then an entire star system. It isn't about redemption.

• Rebecca Blunt was the screenwriter.
• Scott Z. Burns was paid more than any other screenwriter in Lucasfilm history to complete the script.
• Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni and Carrie Beck were directly involved throughout development.
• The film had a final script, budget and was ready to start filming before they presented it to Disney and got rejected.
