the chief of staff at the DOJ and the US homeland security advisor publicly begging on twitter for lawyers to *DM them* about applying for AUSA jobs should tell you volumes about how staffing is going at the DOJ, even restaurant owners don’t do this
DM me? We used to get hundreds of highly qualified applicants for a single job posting. Good prosecutors are increasingly hesitant to work for this DOJ.

It’s so hard to describe what this is like to people who aren’t here. The ICE/BCP occupation seeps into everything. It’s not just the horror of the big stuff. It’s the little stuff, too: helicopters all night, vigilance during every trip out of the house, guilt at having any downtime at all.
I've personally had barely any ICE encounters. I've done patrolling when I can. And my body is just yelling at me that it's wrecked.
Even doing a little bit is fucking taxing. Everyone doing more is a superhero, and I don't think folks who haven't been involved in an occupation understand the toll.
