Unfortunately I believe this was the whole point. I truly believe that he is tearing down our ability to take care of ourselves to put us in a position to have to beg him for help. The problem is he will find he can’t. The ability has been destroyed.

Trump govt did not reverse these firings out of goodness or self-owning a "mistake." They would have been happy to get away with it. This reversal is the result of strong opposition. We undercut our own power when we give them the credit. Resistance matters. And remaining cuts are still devastating.

You have to scroll quite a way down before you find the actual reason that a lot of people are doing this - caregiving.

I’m going to guess that most of the people who do this would actually prefer 9-5 job, but few families can afford one person to be a stay-at-home or part-time parent
