I left journalism because the people in charge at so many places under pay writers and actively want poorly executed reporting to ensure clicks. Terrible editorial teams has been my experience of why this shit happens, often from people with zero journalism background.

Watched Hedda last night. I am not a period piece person and I didn't know anything about the play. I am just a fan of Tessa Thompson and Nia DaCosta. Wow, what a movie that starts one place and continues to evolve into something different. Full of surprises and gets fucked up in its own way.

Really dug this. What a unique spin on the genre that keeps itself more restrained in a tactical way and thst has the vibes that you want with the genre despite it veering in a different direction. Great payoff and gripping performances all around.
