Queer non-binary neurospicy poet, plant lover, romance writer, librarian, joy-seeking parent to a wild child.
Kiddo described the brother of a classmate as "unnecessarily tall" and I can't stop thinking about what an evocative description that is.

Dear manager:

1. I was not good
2. I did not walk on my knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting
3. I, a soft animal, did love what I love, however
4. I let the world offer itself to my imagination
5. Over and over it announced my place in the family of things, and I listened
Dear manager:
1. I have eaten the plums
2. That were in the icebox
3. And which you were probably
saving for breakfast
4. Forgive me they were delicious
5. So sweet and so cold
Dear manager:
1: I went to the doctor
2: I went to the mountains
3: I looked to the children
4: I drank from the fountains
5: There's more than one answer to these questions

i get why folks like to rate and rank game changer episodes, but for what it's worth, i don't like thinking about the series that way!! i like thinking about it a ~portfolio~ of evidence that will one day lead to my arrest

This week has been a million years long but I convinced my kiddo to try gnocchi with the sales pitch that it was spelled like gnome, and it worked.

Merriam, a career-oriented lexicographer from the city, returns to her small town for the holidays and meets Webster, a ruggedly handsome librarian, who shows her the true DEFINITION of Christmas.

“Audiobooks are reading” is a hill I will die on. The point of reading is to get the story inside your mind.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?

Signed, a librarian

So many! The first that came to mind are Skinny Legs and All in middle school and Patriot Games in elementary. Not only was I left unsupervised, adults let me read anything I wanted because I was a “good” kid.
What book did you read when you were way too young?

Mine was Lady of Hay by Barbara Erskine when I was 11. The tale of a skeptical journalist trying to debunk past life regression only to discover her own VERY FUCKED UP past life. LOTS of graphic violence, including sexual violence

Whenever I put on Neon Bible by Arcade Fire, I feel compelled to write an epic story about religious trauma. Possessed even.

Writers: yes, you are still a "real" writer if you
- have never published anything
- have no readers
- didn't write anything this month
- didn't write anything this year
- can't articulate words anymore
- can only float and mournfully wail
- were murdered ten years ago on this very spot
