BBC journalist Mark Lowen, who was in #Turkey to report on the protests, was deported earlier today.

Turkish authorities detained him for 17 hours and then deported him for “being a threat to public order."

In Turkey, university students are leading the demonstrations. Keep in mind that they haven't seen any other government than the AKP governments, which have repeatedly repressed civil society and peaceful protests. These students are now protesting both despite and because of that.
