If you want to see the worst gaming has to offer, look at patch notes posts for specific games. There will be people complaining about minor changes saying they're ruining the game forever. A guy there talking about how "dead" the game is and to not bother updating it.
it is not polite to say so but no discussion of the state of the games industry/press can really avoid the reality that the audience is just. really really bad.
