When people claim liberal arts education is unnecessary, I remind them how often we hear/see: “This isn’t the America I know”.

And I remind them that with liberal arts education, they would know what America is as well as how, why, and when we got here. But that’s also why many want it eliminated.

Six acts that should be common— be kind, say thank you, replace the toilet paper roll, return your grocery store cart, throw away your K-cup once your coffee is brewed (better yet, don’t use Keurig), and take your bin off the TSA rollers at TSA if it isn’t automatic. We were raised better than this!
