New study shows fossil fuel industry only contributes to 1.42% of global renewable energy. The largest 250 oil & gas companies may only produce 0.1% of their primary energy from renewable sources. Last week, the U.S. Energy Secretary falsely claimed “there are not oil and gas subsidies.” 🙄

In reality, "nothing even comes close” to fossil fuel subsidies, @whitehouse.senate.gov told @emdashsanders.bsky.social.

While the 2025 hurricane season seems quiet - no landfalls in the U.S. - we’ve already observed 3 major hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean. For the first time since 1935, the Atlantic’s first 3 hurricanes were major (Erin, Gabrielle, Humberto). Humberto is still a Cat 4 hurricane near Bermuda.
