Hey, Pammy Jo! Do you see that tiny red light, blinking like mad in the lower-right corner of your field of vision? That's your Personal Career Longevity Warning Indicator, PJ... and yours just shifted into high gear.

Hope you remembered your parachute. 😏

The draft dodging idiot posted a pic of this West Point plaque. It contains these words:

“Our American Code of Military Obedience requires that, should orders and the law ever conflict, our officers must obey the law.”

That is precisely what Senator Mark Kelly told officers to do. #NoSedition

Speaker Mike Johnson has reportedly told the White House that most Republicans aren't interested in extending ACA subsidies.

Reminder that 57% of ACA Marketplace enrollees live in congressional districts represented by a Republican.

They're selling out their own voters.

Mind blown!! It's a polka tune, but the singers sound Jewish, and Bob Dylan is decked out in a wig that obscures half of his face.

The wrap party for this video shoot must have been epic! 😄

Trump wants legality to be defined by courts. He commits an illegal act. The courts permit him to continue doing it. 6 months pass and the court determines that it was indeed illegal. But SCOTUS says Trump is immune if it was an official act.

Like a bank robber being told by a cop to go ahead.

SecDef Pete Hegseth wants the military to sever all ties with Scouting America, saying the group once known as the Boy Scouts is no longer a meritocracy and has become an organization intended to "attack boy-friendly spaces," according to documents reviewed by NPR. 🙄

Tyson is one of just a few companies that controls the entire meat market.

Just last month, it paid $85M to settle charges it illegally conspired with other meatpackers to raise pork prices.

Corporate monopolies are great for executives and a raw deal for everyone else.
Tyson CEO Donnie King made $22.7 million last year.

The week before Thanksgiving, he told 3,200 workers in Lexington, Nebraska that they're losing their jobs.

Quincy Wilson is the youngest male track sprinter ever to earn an Olympic gold medal.

Wilson—who is a DC-area teen and widely considered the top male track prospect in the nation—has chosen the University of Maryland Terrapins over several top national track programs. Woohoo! 🏃‍♂️

The vicious cycle of monopolization:

1) Corporations argue that their growth is just part of the free market.
2) Use their monopoly power to gouge consumers.
3) Take a portion of their profits to make political donations.
4) Lobby against antitrust enforcement.
5) Repeat.

It's almost as though the Keystone Kops (remember them?) started a DC law firm and called it "Pettifogger Giggles & Incompetence, attorneys at law." 🤦‍♂️
DC jury acquitted the Sandwich Guy. Lindsay Halligan can’t even bring an indictment because she’s not legit. Jeanine Pirro couldn't get a conviction because she’s incompetent.

As the judge pointed out, incompetent Pam Bondi completely screwed up the appointment of Halligan in violation of the law.

Tyson is closing a Nebraska plant that employs 3,200 workers in order to “right-size” its business.

The meatpacking giant paid its CEO $22.7M last year, 525x its median employee's pay.

It also spent $196M in stock buybacks to reward shareholders.

Textbook corporate greed.

SecDef Pete Hegseth just picked a fight with the wrong guys. The throwdown is going to be legendary! 😲🍿

Mark Kelly is a U.S. senator and an American hero. His AZ Senate wingman is Reuben Gallego, a Marine Corps veteran who one might say has a 'short fuse.' 👀

Defense Department says it is opening an investigation into Sen. Mark Kelly
The investigation is related to the Arizona senator's participation in a video Democratic lawmakers made urging members of the military not to comply with "illegal orders."

I’ve been in or around politics for over a half-century now.

I’ve watched as corporations and the super-rich flooded D.C. with campaign cash and ransacked our system.

It won't be easy, but here’s how we break the corporate oligarchy and return power to the people.

We can do away with it without a new Supreme Court. Nor do we need a constitutional amendment. There’s a far simpler way to get rid of Citizens United. Let me explain. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/how-to-get-rid-of-citizens-united

From my perspective, this seems like encouraging news.

The big question, however, is whether those Republiclowns who say they might leave Congress are in fact willing to give up the pay, perks, and prestige of being a U.S. congressperson? My read is, they are NOT willing to give it all up. 🤨
Just saying, but they could always uh… do their jobs instead of being partisan shitweasels?
