I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again

Charles de Gaulle was right about the USA. 80yrs late but Australia needs to do the same

Australia MUST dump #Aukus and NOW buy combination of Swedish and those French subs, whilst establishing and building capacity to build subs etc in Australia

#auspol
Volodymyr Zelenskyy has shown how you deal with bullies.

Australia now urgently needs leaders who can plan for a world in which America is not an ally but a threat.

And the first step is ditching AUKUS.

Our politicians are deer in the headlights of history. But Zelenskyy showed how to lead
Zelenskyy has ensured world leaders have nowhere to hide from Trump's threat to Western countries. Australia's leaders can't respond.

They’ve just … kidnapped the leader of a foreign nation (and his wife).
What the fuck do they think is going to happen next?

We live in an era where the world learns that the United States has kidnapped the leader of another country in a social media post that’s sandwiched between advertisements for pillows.

What the world will say:

China - (thanks for the legitimacy over our Taiwan plans - but we can't say that). It is a deeply grave matter
Russia - The US shouldn't return to their expansive ways (especially in Europe!)

#Australia MUST extract itself from #Aukus and find new strategic alliances ASAP

Murder, kidnapping, theft, greed and arrogance - Trump’s war on Venezuela is all of this. The US is a brutal and dangerous ‘ally’ that Australia, and the rest of the world, needs to protect itself from

Whatever you might think of Maduro, the seizure and kidnapping of a head of state takes us to a very dark place. Vast, arbitrary, extra-legal power, which could be exercised almost anywhere, regardless of the character of the target government.

Among the many reasons you don’t kidnap a foreign head of state at gunpoint even if you have the capability, is that it sparks consequences you can neither control nor anticipate.

It would be political suicide if Australia gets itself involved in Trump’s Venezuelan mess.

Is world leader going to be safe from kidnapping by USA ?

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

For 50 years, the median wage of hourly workers stagnated or declined while the stock market and CEO pay skyrocketed.

Is it any wonder why so many feel abandoned by the system? People lose faith, and a demagogue fills the void.

This is why we must fix the system.

People who paid pure lip-service to a Royal Commission's findings suggesting we need a Royal Commission.

Glorious. Stick it on the front page.
How about business leaders first institute all the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry?

Amidst the darkness of authoritarianism, inequality & hate, we have a chance to show what’s possible.

That’s always been our mission as New Yorkers—it was profoundly renewed today.

We need a new generation of leaders who are the voices of democracy, freedom, social justice, & the rule of law.

A new generation that renews the “we” in “we the people.”

Instead of fretting over Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Party should embrace him as part of its future.

I’m putting my house on the market this month.

No idea where we are going, but we can’t live next to the Bogan psychos anymore.

They moved here from W.A in May and it’s a pity we can’t deport these f***ers back.

Keep the migrants, deport these phuckers.

In truth—a Black American Christian woman swearing in a Ugandan American Muslim of South Asian ethnicity as his Syrian American wife holds the Qurans he swears in on, all while standing on the steps of a subway station—is the most NYC thing imaginable.
