Our Stirling #NewYearPlantHunt returned a whopping 53 species in flower! Way beyond expectations given ice, snow & sub-zero temps. Stopping clock for coffee essential

Highlights included Selfheal, Small Toadflax, 3 Snowdrop species & Hare's-foot Clover, & the enthusiasm of so many fellow botanists!

And to you Penny; here's to a great '26!

Great memories of these days and the freeflowing parties that followed across town. Unticketed, unregulated and unforgettable. Sorry to realise it ended like this.

that seems fair (and well thought through, as expected from The Committee) #HopefullyInDevelopment 😺

Always thought that book would make a wonderful movie. Is there anything to the rumour Spielberg was spotted in Dunbar this summer? 🎬 🎥🍿 🐈‍⬛

16 Dec 1953 saw the official commencement of shaft sinking at one of the then National Coal Board's Scottish Area "super-pits" - Monktonhall Colliery. This sketch is by the Board's architect Egon Riss FRIBA. A productive pit from 1965 until 1989/97 it was later demolished. @c20society.bsky.social

Good call -- and had you mentioned the cat as well, that would have clinched it!

It would be absolutely appropriate! The sort of purchase that would not be regretted. And supporting a good cause.

The Trust has been been delighted to be working with Johnstons of Elgin to celebrate the launch of the ‘From St Andrews to St Ives’ Pre-Spring Collection with events in Edinburgh and St Andrews. Designed by Angie Bell, the new collections were inspired particularly by WBG's use of colour.
