Check out this 1923 transit plan commissioned by the Chicago City Council. We use to be insanely ambitious. A network like this would've supported Paris-level population densities.

It's never too late!

On next week's South Park, Trump cheats on Satan with an even more jacked Mamdani.
Trump drooling over Mamdani in the Oval Office the same day Hakeem Jeffries voted to condemn socialism could not be funnier to me

I guess the NY Post can shut the fuck up for the next 4 years.
Trump frickin' loves this guy lmao

Transit deserts warp the mind.
This photo from the IBX Open House in Middle Village has me feeling rage over the fact that an entire generation of selfish older New Yorkers are going to try to block a transit project that will net huge benefits for their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren long after they're gone.

Extend it into Manhattan, you cowards!

On a cold L train home, I saw a man wearing a utility kilt and "Curtis Sliwa" T-shirt, no coat, eating loudly.

And I thought to myself, I respect this man more than the 854,000 New Yorkers that votes for Andrew Cuomo.

This op-ed asks, "Won't somebody please think of the children?". Yet it doesn't mention that the Queensway is designed to serve a select few kids who have the luxury of already living near Forest Park while blocking transit access for thousands more that lack parks.

I've often wondered if the half-installs were just temporary and the rest of the barriers would be added later. There is no fucking point to installing a few barriers. Do it all, or just admit they aren't that effective.

It's an honor and pleasure to be named to City & State's "2025" Unsung Heroes" list. I have to also shout out the amazing volunteers at QueensLink who make it look easy when it's not.

For everyone using TouchTunes today to play "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" remember that it will cost you 3 credits instead of 2 due to the length of the song.

I love the fact that national politics, and in some way world politics, hinges on the fact that two dudes from Queens hate each other.

It's been a while since I've read a critique that balances both sides of the story so well.

I am a millennial, and I love Brutalism. I don't defend the outcome, but I do admire the misplaced utopian desire that went into these buildings.

Mostly, I just wish we had architecture again.

But aren't the people who'd be escaping NYC exactly the right wing assholes that Texas and Florida want to have?
