I say this as someone who 100% the original Hollow Knight in Steel Soul mode. I like a good challenge. Silksong offers plenty of great platforming and bosses.

Still holding out hope that Team Cherry isn't done tweaking the game. Silksong is fundamentally good, it just needs less time-wasting loops.

Shards especially stand out to me, because if you're good at the game, you never run out of them. (I rarely do.) And if you're not great at the game, it becomes yet another resource you'll need to farm.

There is no net-positive with two bouncy pickups to scoop up from enemies. Geo was enough in HK.

I'm 40 hours into Silksong, and it's wasting my time

- Money is fine in Act 2 but scarce in Act 1, need farming to buy anything
- Benches require money (often)
- Trap bench gave me trust issues
- Troll elevators
- Exploring rewards with tools but not HP
- Why Shards when tools refill at benches?

September ended up being such an awful month for me, I feel like this boss is all I got done for the game. 💔 Not even the stage's mini-boss.

Thankfully, a lot of deadlines for work are behind me. Spooky month needs to be Beihei Bay's month.

I tend to say I lean left, because while I don't agree with everything I see on the left, I vote left and am absolutely not right-wing in any way.

Aseprite has many great tools specialized for pixel art, it's so helpful. 💙 It helps me with animation especially. I just couldn't work with the toolbar on the right, omg

This feature is still in beta, but it should be in the stable branch shortly. It works really well for me so far!

This might not seem like a big deal, but my first experience with pixel art was MS Paint at age 6. Most of what I drew was silly and crude, but the simple joy of pixels started there.

That was 30 years ago. Toolbars on the left is in my DNA, lol

Components of previous updates were building up to the features in this one, and I'm happy to finally see it in Aseprite's GUI.

After 14+ years of GIMP, I learned Aseprite this year. It's my primary art software now, and I only had two complaints:

• No moveable toolbars
• No toolbox grouping

A friend had to do some XML editing just to help me mirror the layout! 💔

The upcoming beta, however, has both! I'm in love!!! 💙💙💙

I just defeated the Phantom boss in Silksong, and I have to say, it's one of the most exciting victories I've had in a video game in years. I was losing it when I got the new spell.

"Losing it" as in, I made *a very suggestive noise*. I'm so glad I wasn't streaming Silksong at the time OH MY GOD

One thing I never expected with this next generation was for Nintendo / Pokemon Company to scalp us even harder than the aftermarket does! 💔

That was the line for me. I don't even want Prime 4 anymore; my generation is getting boldly milked for our nostalgia.
