Only a short reprieve, the vet says his kidneys are shot. Po will get all the kitty treats he can handle this weekend, and next week will be a sad one for us.

For ten years as a kid, my dad drove me to weekly house league hockey games, practices and skating lessons. I scored 3 goals and made zero friends. I often wonder how else we might have spent that time

Yesterday it was hot, so we took one last paddle near Skootamatta dam. Saw kingfisher, heron, kestrel, loon and a feeding otter. Lots of sparrows and juncos. The plan was for nearby Sheldrake Lake but we stopped at the wrong boat launch and didn’t realize it til later. I would say we lucked out
