Watching old Iron Chef. Theme ingredient is Unidentified Slovakian Male. “He has great teeth for a forgotten man,” said actress Keiko Saito, a statement which the panel was in agreement with.

Always been wild to me that people who'll come home after a bad day at work and get drunk or smoke a joint expect homeless people to be straight edge to deserve shelter.

I'm an anarchist and I fucking love the USPS, one of the only things this big dumb country gets right.
"the USPS is a miracle. it's in the constitution. for the price of a single stamp you can send a letter across the country, from Hawaii to Maine. Trump is trying to take that away from you. He's attacking Christmas cards and wedding invitations. It's un-American and it has to stop."

I don't care what science does or does not know about microbiomes and probiotics, I sure do digest my lunch a lot better with a couple shots of home brewed kombucha on the side.

Everything is cheating machines and betting apps over here huh. Makes me glad to finish up my lunch break and get back to sorting carrots.

"All is lost" narratives are popular because people generally do not want to take action. Taking action is tiring so if all is lost, you are off the hook. Nothing is more seductive than not having to do anything.

This was obviously said tongue-in-cheek here but I do unironically believe that if we worked with our bodies' cycles and the cycles of nature instead of against them in the name of capitalist overproduction, we wouldn't have half the issues we do.
Nonsense; you are simply eating the additional calories that this harsh winter will demand of you to stay warm and survive. This is healthy and a sign of a strong bloodline 😌

600 ICE agents were supposed to be deployed to Canal Street. Hundreds of New Yorkers gathered instead.

Quick summary by me:

Genuine question here: people keep saying AI has positive medical applications, yet the last report I read on the subject said using it for imaging was simply making the doctors doing the screening lazier. Are there other examples of it being applied successfully?

Look at the sample of headlines about the shooter. Only the UK's Guardian notes in the headline that the shooter of the National Guard troops was trained by the CIA. Wonder why US media wants to downplay that?!

I subbed purple sweet potato in this cake formula that I haven't made in a long time and I didn't consider the effect the baking soda solution would have on a purple vegetable. It's kinda blue in there.
