Intro post 👋
My name is Alda, I use they/them pronouns and I'm from and living in Iceland. This account will be mainly focused on astrology and spirituality, but aside from those things I'm a queer and anti-capitalist activist, artist and creator.

Hey #WitchSky, #OccultSky, and #WitchMadness. A lot of folks, including several from our magickal communities, may be losing their SNAP benefits next month. This means they may struggle to afford food/necessities.

"I'm sure this grand water trine won't affect me at all I have hardly any placements around those degrees" yeah only my chart and luminary ruler conjunct Chiron pfffft 🙄🙄🙄
I started a new kind of therapy a month ago and since Tuesday I have had four separate cathartic cries... which I'm pretty sure is more than I've cried in the last year altogether 🥹

Highly suggest just writing how you naturally write and not worrying about who will think it looks like AI. AI writing is literally supposed to sound like us. That’s how it was built. It sounds like you, not the other way around.

Everyone please diligently check your candy this year. I cracked open a snickers bar and not only did I find a copper ingot, but it was of poor quality.

Worse still, when my man Nanni confronted my neighbor about it, he was treated with disdain.
Also our summers are mild and short, so I'm guessing it isn't really worth cutting it into two extra seasons? This is just me theorising though, I'm sure there were other reasons for it too 🤔
Yeah it seems like a common way of designating lunar month timings afaik - the first full lunar cycle 🌕
Tbf it's pretty recent that we experience a clear difference for spring and autumn here so it makes sense in a way - usually it's just a few weeks of fluctuating btwn winter and summer weather 😆
Magic (derogatory) in this context 🫠
TW for graphic violence, racism, slavery and SA. I'm personally sensitive to SA but didn't find that part too graphic, of course ymmv 💖
If you like sci-fi that's labelled for adults not because of explicit sex scenes but because of topics that are difficult and full of nuance, I would fully recommend An Unkindness of Ghosts. It's a hard read, but so worth it and it still lives rent free in my brain 4 years later 🤩

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?
Merci beaucoup! ☺️ it was such a good episode, definitely not what I was expecting but so juicy and enriching (weird word choice for a talk about death and decomposition? yes) 🤍

and also, ancient people often used scientific and rational ways of testing things but are not taken seriously bc... they were doing it before we refined the scientific rules of engagement??
for reeeaaaaal. looking at ancient gnosis that perfectly correlates to modern day science should encourage us to communicate between discipline, not disparage.

Oh poor babies. I concur with Ottolini, try a small dose at home to see if there's any adverse reactions. I assume you also know about these, but things like pet remedy, valerian and catnip can also help though not as strongly as gabapentin. But those also differ in mileage so test at home first 💖
Thank you! 💖 looking at the old icelandic calendar and more ancient calendars and seasonal markers is a slow-burn hyperfixation of mine, there's so much I want to write and learn more about 😍 The book by Rune in my sources is great, it's an attempt at recreation but he cites his sources diligently.
