Gill was right there as Farage celebrated the biggest disaster inflicted on Britain since WWII.

It is embarassing not to see the BBC pulling up Reform leaders claiming that Nathan Gill was just some fan who got photos taken with Farage - he was an MEP for them & their leader in Wales while taking cash from Russia to act against the UK! Literally the very basics of your job to point this out

Solar grew by 31% globally in the first half of 2025, while wind grew by nearly 8%.

Renewable energy is the future, providing safe, clean and cheap power - in sharp contrast to the volatility of fossil fuels.

In Scotland we must continue building on our success in this booming industry.
Renewables overtake coal as world's biggest source of electricity
Developing countries lead the historic clean energy charge but the US and EU rely more on fossil fuels than before, a think tank study shows.

More money in your pocket, more opportunities, fewer emissions.

I’m proud we introduced free bus travel for young people under 22 - and as of today, over 250 million free journeys have been made across Scotland.

Together with scrapping peak rail fares, we’re making your commutes cheaper.

The poorest people spend every penny they get. Cut their income, and you cut spending in every local economy.

The Tory plan to cut £47 billion out of government budgets is £47 billion less in everyone’s pockets | Prof Richard Murphy

What happens when £47 billion disappears from Britain’s economy?
Tory Shadow Chancellor Mel Stride wants to take £47 billion out of the UK economy. That isn't prudence. It's managed decline

THE SELF-HARM CONTINUES…

“According to the Chemical Industries Association, output has fallen by 35-40% since 2021. Between 2021 and 2023, British exports to the EU fell by a serious 27%.”

What a myopic, stupid dolt Starmer is

"Brexiteers boasted that leaving the EU would be worth hundreds of billions a year. Cambridge Econometrics estimates that over the next decade Britain's economy will be £300bn smaller than if we had not left the EU. This is self-harm on a heroic scale."

We all know Brexit’s to blame for the crisis facing UK steel – it’s time for politicians to be honest and reverse it | Simon Jenkins
With British industry faltering, the excuse that the public wants this is risible. Parliament must force Starmer to act, says Guardian columnist Simon Jenkins

I see Robert Jenrick is supporting Hamit Coskun who is appealing his conviction by reference to the ECHR (which Jenrick wants to withdraw from).

Who knew that the ECHR could be useful, even to the anti-ECHR Hard Right?

Son of economic immigrants, anchor baby, Muhammad Yusuf, one of the Kremlin r🐀ts, lies about Farage, claiming he doesn’t know who Gill is, the former Refuk leader in Wales who admitted taking bribes to make statements in favour of terrorist state Russia while being MEP. #ukpoitics

After The Guardian so keenly trumpeted Labour's plans to "improve devolution" in England, the truth dawns. Their plans actually centralise more power in Wesminster. Why are English journalists and column writers so gullible?

Just compare and contrast...

A story in The Telegraph, Express and other usual suspects who've discovered certain EU countries (Spain) might start enforcing the 90/180 day rule properly which might fool some Brits and make them subject to fines or even deportation.

Outrageous that migrants might be deported for overstaying....

Last time I looked Scotland wasn’t an independent country and is subject to the UK Supreme Court and arbitrary decision of UK Gov like the stymying of the GRA Bill. SNP have been attacked and vilified by all media and well financed legal challenges on this issue. What else do you expect them to do?

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.
SHOCK POLL:
NIGEL FARAGE WILL BE PM TOMORROW
IN an amazing poll conducted
by The Pointless Polling Company, it was revealed that voters' intentions
may well change over the next three and a half years and at present it's 100 percent impossible to guess what the next government might look like.
However, 99 percent of journalists
agree that it would be much more fun if we had an election tomorrow and everybody resigned and everything was chaos and Farage had a go at being PM, just for the hell of it, because it was so much fun when
Brexit happened and then the government kept falling every five minutes and we could write endless pieces about (cont. p94)
